The BU-CON Afterfutures Group Inc. demonstrates preparedness for a global collapse of energy and communications infrastructure. Contingencies are examined using scale models, maps, graphs, and examples of BU-CON hardware. The subject of survival is approached with optimism. If organizations such as Halliburton and the Michigan Militia emphasize fear and isolation, BU-CON portrays a clear alternative, embracing the problem of continued human habitation beyond the troubled paradigm of the present.
